International seminar on visualisation and data analytics
Prague, 7-9 April 2025
On 7-9 April 2025, an international seminar on visualisation, data analytics and artificial intelligence entitled Beyond Numbers – Data and Visualization in Audit was held at the SAO headquarters in Prague. The seminar focused on data analysis, data visualization, and selected aspects of artificial intelligence.
The key topics were (1) data and data analysis (basic techniques for using data in auditing, including how to process data and make data-based decisions), (2) data visualisation, working with graphs and tools (converting complex data into clear and understandable visualisations that can increase the media impact of audits and improve readers' understanding of annual reports), and (3) artificial intelligence (the advantages and disadvantages of ChatGPT/Copilot and their applicability in writing texts, implementation of the Python programming language, and other tools).
In addition to representatives of the SAO, colleagues from the Supreme Audit Institutions of Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, and Sweden participated in the seminar.
