Kick-off Meeting of the EUROSAI Project Group on Resilience and Preparedness
Prague, 22 and 23 January 2024
On 22 and 23 January 2024, the headquarters of the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic hosted an international EUROSAI meeting organised by the SAO in cooperation with the National Audit Office of the United Kingdom. More than 50 participants discussed potential global threats such as disease pandemics, natural and other climate change-related disasters, and cyber-attacks during the event.
The aim of the meeting was not only to share information from the audit practice of individual states, but also to transform the previous EUROSAI Project Group COVID-19 into a group with a broader focus on possible risks and threats called Resilience & Preparedness.
In addition to the auditors and heads of the two organising institutions, Miloslav Kala and Gareth Davies, the meeting was attended by Professor Jan Pavel, a member of the Czech Fiscal Council, Head Epidemiologist Petr Smejkal from IKEM, and Lt. Col. Martin Hlaváček from the Communication and Information Systems Agency of the Czech Armed Forces.
