Attorney-at-law Petr Přikryl was elected as a Member of the SAO Board

PRESS RELEASE ON THE ELECTION OF A NEW MEMBER OF THE SAO BOARD – 24 June 2026


The new Member of the SAO Board will be Petr Přikryl (aged 52), an attorney-at-law. Members of Parliament elected him in a secret ballot on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, with 89 of the 159 members present voting in favour of his election. The threshold for the election was eighty votes. Petr Přikryl will take the oath of office before the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies.

„Petr Přikryl possess extensive experience in the practical application of the law, which provides him with an excellent foundation for being a valuable member of the SAO Board. I am confident he will make excellent use of his practical legal expertise in leading our audits as well, “commented Miloslav Kala, President of the SAO, on Petr Přikryl’s election.

Petr Přikryl has experience in multiple fields: marketing, helping client achieve their business goals, management and oversight of companies, dealings with administrative authorities, and representing clients before such authorities. The focus of his practice is commercial, administrative, and civil law, and he is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he completed his studies in 2009. On the SAO Board, he will replace Peter Neuvirt, whose term of office has ended.
